2. PLAN FOR YOUR SALE
Mark your calendar with the Great Garage Sale date, Saturday, August 26th. Then, start organizing your junk – someone else’s treasures! Determine which items are usable and sellable and label them with a price. Figure out how you’ll display the deals and borrow some tables if you need to. Plan for supervising the sale and for keeping track of your earnings.

3. MEANWHILE...
The Community Council will create a map of neighborhood sales. The map will be available beginning Tuesday, August 22nd at the Council office (Edgcumbe Rec. Center at 320 S. Griggs) and online at
www.macgrove.org. The Great Garage Sale will also be advertised in Craigslist, the Villager, and Pioneer Press newspapers. The community council will create a sign for your sale, too, and you can pick it up outside the council office (in the vestibule) located in Edgcumbe Recreation Center (320 S. Griggs Street) from August 22nd through August 25th. The Edgcumbe Recreation Center is open 9:00am—8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am—6:00pm on Friday.

4. GET READY, GET SET, SELL!
Post your Great Garage Sale sign in your yard and be ready to sell on Saturday, August 26th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.!  Plant yourself in the sun (hopefully) and offer some deals to those who treasure your junk (definitely). At the end of the day, pull up the sign and save the leftovers to bring to the
Fall Neighborhood Cleanup
scheduled for Saturday, September 30th, 2017 on Shepard Road between Alton and Davern.

Sponsored by the Macalester-Groveland Community Council.
