Visit the Street of Dreams on August 1st for National Night Out!

Street of Dreams will be an interactive performance based on the book, “The Big Orange Splot.” It will be presented on National Night Out, Tuesday August 1st at 7 PM (rain date Aug 2) along the 1100 block of Palace Avenue, in conjunction with a community meal that celebrates the cultures of the neighborhood.

Grow Food, Share Food with Mac-Grove's First Seed Library

Ann Dolan's Seed Library will come to life this fall. The Seed Library is a lot like the familiar Little Free Library; the concept is to share seeds and knowledge with others. Once launched, you can access the Seed Library 24/7, the library will be located in front of 1930 Jefferson Avenue.

Got a great idea for a community project?

Apply for a Mac-Grove Mini Grant!

MGCC wants to hear your ideas! If you’ve ever thought about adding a bench to your bus stop, sprucing up a wall with a mural or even bringing in some new entertainment for your National Night Out block party – we want to help you make things happen.

We seek to award 2-4 grants this year that meet one or more of these goals: increase community involvement in activities that benefit Mac-Grove, increase the number and diversity of people engaged in our neighborhoods, and provide a one-time or on-going benefit to the Mac-Grove community.

Eligible projects could be anything from community-building activities (story-telling projects, workshops or classes, gatherings, conversations), or community design projects (gardens, murals, pedestrian safety, public art projects) to aiding already strong events and programs like National Night Out, Little Free Library, and more! This list is by no means complete. If you’re not sure your idea fits, ask us: 651.695.4000 or
