May 21st – June 4th

The Macalester-Groveland Community Council presents an all-ages book search event touring the little free libraries of the neighborhood. This program encourages reading & outdoor exercise while highlighting the novel character in our community. We aim to spark curiosity, adventure, and explorative learning through this playful, self-guided tour.

Join us in celebrating the novel character throughout the Macalester-Groveland Neighborhood as we highlight 13 Little Free Libraries with local shop discounts, a word scramble hunt, and more!

How to participate:

Starting May 21st, a map of the participating Little Free Libraries will be available on our website! Walk or bike to as many Little Free Libraries as you can and complete the word scramble at each one. Be sure to log the libraries you have visited and the correlating code so you can submit them for a chance to win a prize!

You can find the Little Free Library Log at macgrove.org/littlefreelibrarytour beginning May 21st.

You can also win prizes through posting on social media or filling out the survey at the end of the event. Prizes include gift card giveaways to Red Balloon Bookstore and Against the Current along with product giveaways from Freewheel Bike!

This event is sponsored by Freewheel Bike, Red Balloon Bookshop, Next Chapter Booksellers, and Against the Current.
