Garden Fest is the 2nd Saturday in May from 9am to 12pm at the Edgcumbe Rec Center (320 Griggs St. S)
Here’s what happened at the 2019 Garden Fest. Join us again in 2020!
Garden Fest has activities for all ages and abilities! Short on space? Come talk to A Backyard Farm about maximizing your efforts. Are you an indoor gardener? Houseplants are welcome at the plant share!
- Plant share: Pick-up or drop-off extra perennials and plants to help get gardens ready for spring (and the Alley Garden Awards)! Not only do you get to pick up new plants to diversify your garden, but you can also find a new home for divided perennials, fruit bushes, extra vegetables, and houseplants. $2 suggested donation if you don’t have plants to exchange.
- Seed Swap: Have extra seeds left over? Bring them to Garden Fest and swap with others
- Ask a Master: A Master Gardener will be onsite to offer advice and answer questions about your lawn or garden.
- Planting activity for kids! Saint Paul Parks & Rec will lead a flower planting activity for children (just in time for Mother’s day!)
Come to the fields of the Edgcumbe Recreation Center (320 Griggs St St) for Garden Fest!
Rain plan: Most activities will move inside to the gym.
